Has anyone got a Vango Diablo 600? 2007/09/11 18:42
Hi, Has anyone got a Vango Diablo 600 or 900 potentially? We're thinking of getting one - there's lots of good deals on at the moment. We're hoping to get a way in the next couple of weeks as the weather seems to be holding.

We've got two kids, and a dog. The Vango Diablo looks good on the internet in photos, but I haven't seen one up. Is it big enough?

Any thoughts?

If it helps, we camped next to a family with one this summer and we had a good look at the 600 at a tent show in May.

We found it to be a well made tent and would be a great tent for wet/windy camping as it was all enclosed and sealed.

It has a large foot print and looks big from the outside.

I personally found it too claustrophobic inside and i could only stand up straight in the middle, everywhere else i had to stoop. We also thought it would be harder to keep an eye on our little 's as there wasn't much of a panoramic view from the narrow porch and entrance.

Saying that the family next to us loved it and it met all their needs. Took them around an hour to put the tent up.

Hi

I'm a new convert to the world of camping and have had a few weekends in a cheap 3-man tent but we're going to out this weekend to buy an Outwell Hartford L from Birtley Caravan and Camping in Durham. Its a bargain at £135 for a 2 bedroom tent with a large living area (I'm 6' 2" and can stand in with rrom to spare). I like the 2 roof lights and the porch area will be handy for wet shoes etc. We're also going to buy the canopy which is also reduced by 25% in the sale, so for less than £200 I think we're getting a good setup.

Fingers crossed we have the weather to get away again
